Tournament Rules
Finals & Semi-Finals
- PC Finals will be conducted Fully Online.
- Event date for PC Finals is May 17th.
General Rules
- Prior to participation, every participant must read, understand, and agree to these rules. These rules establish a contract between each participant and the Night Serpent Organising Committee.
- To compete, players must be over the age of sixteen (16) and not blacklisted from previous Levelstair tournaments.
- Administrators and board members of Levelstair, Rororact UCSC, CSSL, or related individuals are not permitted to participate.
- Official VALORANT Tournament Rulebook
- Hosted by: Levelstair & CSSL Rotaract
- 1. Tournament Format & Structure
- Bracket System: The tournament operates on a Double Elimination bracket. Losing a match in the Upper Bracket drops the team to the Lower Bracket. A second loss in the Lower Bracket results in permanent elimination.
- Match Series: group stage is BO3 and semis and finals is BO5
- 2. Team Rosters & Coaching
- Roster Size: Each team must consist of 5 main players. Teams may register up to 2 official substitutes and 1 coach.
- Roster Lock: Once the tournament begins all rosters are locked. No new players can be added.
- Account Integrity: All players must compete using their registered Riot ID. Account sharing or ringing is strictly prohibited and will result in an instant ban for the entire team.
- 2.1 Team Branding & Naming Conventions
- Team Identity: During registration the Team Captain must provide a full Team Name, a high quality Team Logo and a 3 letter Team Tag (e.g. Paper Rex becomes PRX).
- Username Formatting: To maintain a professional broadcast and clean spectator experience all players must include their official 3 letter Team Tag in their Riot ID during tournament matches. The format must be strictly TAG Username (e.g. PRX f0rsaken).
- Appropriate Content: Any team names, logos or player usernames containing offensive, discriminatory or overtly vulgar content will result in immediate registration rejection or forced name changes by the tournament admins.
- 3. Lobby Settings
- All official matches must be played with the following custom game settings enabled.
- Mode: Standard
- Cheats: On
- If any player is caught using cheats, their whole team will forfeit that match.
- Tournament Mode: On
- Overtime Win by Two: On
- Play Out All Rounds: Off
- Hide Match History: Off
- Server: Mumbai (To ensure the most stable competitive ping for our regional players)
- 4. Map Pool & VCT Veto Process
- The tournament will utilize the official 2026 Competitive Map Pool: Bind, Breeze, Fracture, Haven, Lotus, Pearl and Split. The higher seeded team will choose whether they want to act as Team A or Team B during the veto process.
- Best of 3 (BO3) Veto Process:
- Team A bans 1 map
- Team B bans 1 map
- Team A picks Map 1 (Team B chooses starting side)
- Team B picks Map 2 (Team A chooses starting side)
- Team A bans 1 map
- Team B bans 1 map
- The remaining map is Map 3 (Team A chooses starting side)
- Best of 5 (BO5) Veto Process
- Team A bans 1 map
- Team B bans 1 map
- Team A picks Map 1 (Team B chooses starting side)
- Team B picks Map 2 (Team A chooses starting side)
- Team A picks Map 3 (Team B chooses starting side)
- Team B picks Map 4 (Team A chooses starting side)
- The remaining map is Map 5 (Team A chooses starting side)
- 5. Agents & In Game Rules
- Agent Pool: All currently released Agents are permitted. However any Agent released globally within two weeks of the tournament start date will be automatically restricted from play.
- Timeouts: Teams are permitted two 60 second Tactical Timeouts per map. Coaches may communicate with their players only during these specific Tactical Timeouts and during the pre match Agent Select phase.
- Exploits: The use of known bugs, map exploits or illegal pixel walks is strictly banned.
- 6. Match Procedures & Active Moderation
- Hosting & Organization: The tournament hosts (Levelstair & CSSL Rotaract) will organize all matches and create the private lobbies to ensure competitive settings are correct.
- Live Monitoring & Recording: All games will be recorded by the hosts to ensure fair play. Tournament admins will actively monitor the matches and have the authority to call technical pauses or make mid match decisions regarding rule breaks.
- Technical Pauses: If a player disconnects the affected team must immediately pause the game during the buy phase of the next round. Matches will not be fully remade unless a server wide crash occurs or a disconnect happens before the very first kill of Round 1.
- 7. Punctuality, Disputes & Conduct
- Punctuality: Teams have a 10 minute grace period from the scheduled match time to join the lobby. Failure to field a full 5 player roster within this time results in an automatic forfeit.
- Disputes & Complaints: If a team wishes to raise a dispute regarding fair play or rule breaks the Team Captain must directly contact the designated Valorant in charges. The Captain must submit clear video or screenshot proof. The administration team will review the evidence, handle the situation and provide an official update.
- Sportsmanship: Friendly competitive banter is allowed but extreme toxicity, racism, hate speech or the use of third party cheating software will lead to immediate disqualification.
- Failure to adhere to the rules may lead to disciplinary actions including match forfeitures, loss of prizes, fines, or disqualification.
